Welcome back to the Phonemes lesson series!

In this series, you are learning to listen to all of the sounds in words. In the last Related Lesson, found in the right-hand sidebar, you practiced listening for the beginning sounds in words using pictures to help you name the sound.

In this lesson, you will practice listening for the first sound in words using videos and picture books.

Before beginning this lesson, you will need a copy of one of these books: Rude Ramsay and Roaring Radishes by Margaret Atwood, or Bashful Bob and Doleful Dorinda by Margaret Atwood.

Begin by watching the videos below from KidsTV123 to help you practice the letter sounds!

Now, think about one of the videos you just watched.

Choose a letter sound from the alphabet. Say out loud as many words as you can think of that begin with that letter sound.

When you are ready to practice beginning sounds some more, move on to the next section.
