Mexico is a land of many terrains.

Explore these Maps of Mexico to explore some of the country's physical and political geographies.

Notice the Central Plateau in the center of the map, surrounded by the Sierra Madre mountain ranges.

The Central Plateau is home to the country's capital, Mexico City, where over 20 million people live (the fourth-most populated city in the world). The plateau covers 40% of Mexico's landscape.

Next, locate the three Sierra Madre Mountain ranges: Occidental, Oriental, and del Sur. Within these mountain ranges are many volcanoes!

Another notable physical feature in Mexico is the Yucatan Peninsula. Locate it on the map.
