From the picture, we can see what is happening in the present, but we are not positive about what will happen in the future. Learn to predict the outcome of a story!

Guessing about what is going to happen in the future is called predicting.

A good reader will pause while reading to predict what outcomes might happen in the story. Predicting helps the reader become more engaged and better comprehend the story being told.
