In the previous Related Lessons, found in the right-hand sidebar, you learned how to skip count by twos and fives.

You will learn to skip count by tens in this lesson. You will get active, play games, learn songs, and have fun while learning to count by tens.

Any time you skip count by tens, each number you will count will end with a zero (0). Look at the set of numbers below. This series of numbers shows skip counting by tens.

Read the numbers in order aloud:

10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100

Wow! You skip counted by tens!

  • What did all the numbers end with?

That's correct! All the numbers ended with zero. Any time you skip count by tens, each number should end with a zero.
