James E. (Jimmy) Carter was the 39^th president of the United States and was known as the Peanut President! He was born to a wealthy peanut farmer, and he even ran the peanut farm after his father passed away. He became a millionaire from the peanut industry. Jimmy Carter attended many colleges — four to be exact — and served in the U.S. Navy.

Although he was well educated, many historians and Americans were not impressed with him as a president because he didn't lead with much conviction, nor was he anxious to work with others. According to The Miller Center at the University of Virginia, "Jimmy Carter's one-term presidency is remembered for the events that overwhelmed it—inflation, energy crisis, war in Afghanistan, and hostages in Iran."
