This picture was taken at a time in history called the Great Depression. The Great Depression was a time in America's history when the economy (our money system) was terrible.

People didn't have money and could not find jobs. People were impoverished and had little money for food.

  • How would you feel about missing a meal or not getting food for a whole day?

It was a sad time in our history!

Explore the time of the Great Depression and learn what a child's life was like back then.

As you watch the movie below, think about how your life is different from these children's lives.
