North America

Great work! You found Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America on the map.

There are also other island countries in the oceans around North America. These countries are found near Mexico in the Caribbean Sea. There are also several smaller countries in a region called Central America, such as Guatemala, Panama, and Costa Rica. These Central American countries are also considered part of the continent of North America.

The three major oceans surrounding North America are the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, and Arctic Ocean.

The Pacific Ocean is on the west coast of North America. A state that is near the Pacific Ocean is California. The ocean on the east coast of North America is the Atlantic Ocean. A state that is close to the Atlantic Ocean is New Jersey. You can swim in the ocean at the Jersey Shore. The ocean that is to the north is the Arctic Ocean. This ocean is above Canada and is near Alaska.
