Which picture below looks the most like the place where you live? Describe an average day at this place.

Your answers will be different depending on where you live.

Each person lives in a community, and the places they go daily are typically within their community. A community is a place where people live, work, and play.

There are three types of communities where people live: the suburbs, rural communities, and urban communities.

Watch Communities - A brief introduction to learn more about the different communities. The women teaching the lesson is from a city called Fort Collins. If you are not from Fort Collins, think about the city or town where you are from when she mentions Fort Collins or "our community."

In what type of community do you live? What about your grandparents? Do they live in a different type of community? How about your friends? In what kind of communities do they live?
