Did you know that your food can help you learn math? This activity will teach you how to divide while having a snack!

Practice making equal groups while enjoying a snack!

  1. Find a snack that can be put into groups (fruit snacks, grapes, crackers, etc.).
  2. Set an even amount in front of you. Remember, an even amount is 2, 4, 6, 8, etc.
  3. For example, set 10 grapes in front of you and pretend you want to share with a friend. Put the grapes into 2 equal groups. You should end up with 2 groups, with 5 grapes in each group.
  4. Next, write the division fact that matches the groups (10 ÷ 2 = 5). Try this with as many division facts as you like!

Practice counting equal groups and finding the quotient (result or answer) in this interactive activity.
